Three Chances to Hear Rod Rosenbladt and Scott Keith
As we draw our celebration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation to a close, it is our privilege to welcome back to the Advent Rod Rosenbladt, and for the first time Scott Keith: November 17-19.
Rod is well-known to many of us from his previous trips here, and as a long-time host of the White Horse Inn. Both Rod and Scott are now very involved in the 1517 Legacy Project.
They are enlivening and lively speakers – we will have several opportunities to engage them that weekend:
1. Friday evening (November 17), from 7:00 to 8:30, at the home of Debby and David Tanner (28 Country Club Boulevard 35213), we will have dessert and coffee, as they address Why the Reformation?
2. For men only, not to be missed, we are doing a reprise of some talks that Rod gave here in 2003: When Good Fathers Die, It Is Always Too Soon. (Those talks are still available.) As close to a sure-thing as we can offer, we hope many will be able to come: even as we may not all be fathers, each of us have (or had) an earthly father, as well as our heavenly Father. With their poignant wit, peppered with many stories, Rod and Scott will spend the morning with us, pressing us towards the gospel of God’s utterly gratuitous grace: 9am to noon, Saturday morning, November 18 at Cranmer House. Feel free to invite friends and others.
3. Lastly, both will join Andrew Pearson in the Dean’s Class: 10:10 to 10:50, on Sunday morning, November 19.
We hope you and others can join us!
